Travel Guide: Denver

Denver is well-known for its great skiing and cold nights, but it also has mild weather all year. Although the weather can change every day, you can expect Denver’s snowy season to last from October through April. The temperature ranges between 20-50 degrees Fahrenheit during this period. The cool summer months make it easier to explore the great outdoors.

When to Visit

Denver receives the most snowfall during March, so book your trip in March to ensure good skiing conditions. April to May is a great time for those who don’t like crowds or skiing. It also has warmer weather and less people. Avoid the peak tourist season in September to October for lower hotel prices.

Denver’s Regional Transportation District (also known as RTD) is a great way to get around the city. To pay your fare, you will need exact change. The drivers won’t keep change on them so make sure to have enough cash ready when your train or bus arrives. You can also rent a bike or a car to travel around the city if you don’t wish to use the public transport system.
